Boy, oh boy did we have a fun-filled field trip yesterday!  My two little munchkins and I loaded up into the Camry for a scenic drive to Encinitas.  With the wind in our hair/fur, we cruised down the winding roads of RSF. Jacques and Pepe just barely got their little bodies to lift their eyes to the bottom of the window, but that was good enough.  There were so many birds, cars, people, dogs, trees and more to keep them on their tippy toes (literally).  We reached  Auggie's Crab Shack where we met up with Jaime and his "sweet panda" Jeri =)  The five of us grabbed a quick bite to eat then drove to downtown Encinitas for a stroll through the lumberyard where we did some major people and dog watching,  rolled around the grassy knolls, went exploring through the trees and shrubs, and sniffed something every 2 feet (well, the pups did...not us!).  Our leisurely stroll eventually turned in to a dragging walk which means it's time to go home.  We all piled back into the car to drop off Jaime and Jeri then headed back to RSF.  After a quick dinner for the pups we all plopped down on the bed and were asleep within minutes.  Too much fun also makes us reeeeeeeal tired!

Jeri had quite the busy morning while pops was at work.  First things first, he must have his scratches and love time before he can go anywhere.  When he's had enough of that, we head out into the neighborhood for some major exploring.  Each bush holds something new and exciting so we mozy down the sidewalk at a leisurely pace until we reach Mochi's house (Mochi is the pretty shepard mix that lives down the street.  Jeri might have a crush).  We pick Mochi up and stroll down to the park for some shade and some bird/squirrel/people/car watching.  Time to start walking back to Mochi's house for water and a rest.  It doesn't last long though, Jeri's ready keep truckin'!  We give kisses and good-byes to Mo' and continue walking to the South Bark Dog Wash for some treats.  Jeri picks his favorite organic bones and an assortment of other delicious morsels (the picture above is his "I'm a good boy, waiting patiently for treats" look).  Time to head back home and take a nap in the cool A/C until Poppy gets home!  Oh, what a day!  Tomorrow we do it all over and it will be the best day ever, again!
